30 min Oligo PAGE purification. GeBA has developed a new short protocol for Oligo  PAGE purification.  The present method for oligo PAGE purification is a lengthy process (overnight) and provides a low yield, (the diffusion method  provides a low 20-30% recovery).

Using the GeBAflex-tube for the extraction of the Oligo from the gel (PAGE purification), by electro elution, the process of extraction is reduced to just 15-20 min. This process is simple, straight forward, and extremely time efficient. GeBAflex-tube recovers any oligo ranging from 15 nt to 150 nt with a 95% Oligo recovery. Following oligo PAGE purification, a desalting step is often required.   1. Using the same GeBAflex-tube, after electro elution, can be used directly for dialysis process (80-100 min).
  2. Using column for desalting.

Oligo manufacturers require high throughput samples PAGE purification process for quantities ranging from 10 to 1000 samples a day, GeBAflex-tube fit into most standard horizontal electrophoresis unit, typical MAXI horizontal electrophoresis unit can accommodate multiple number of electro elution GeBAflex-tubes (see pictures).


The similar  process can be also applied to peptide purification, for above 30 amino acide.
